Brian Boru Conaty is from Wilmington, Delaware. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Dickinson College. In 2001, Brian received a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.  Brian returned to school at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where in 2010 he received a Post Baccalaureate degree in painting. Brian concluded his formal education receiving a MFA in painting from Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2012. 
 
Since 2001, Brian has been a practicing artist and industrial designer.  From 2004 to present Brian has run Boru Design, a design firm specializing in product design, furniture, and architectural projects. Brian has been awarded nationally and internationally for his design work, most notably as a Red Dot award winner.  His work is a part of the permanent collection at the Red Dot museum, located in Essen, Germany. 
 
Brian’s multidisciplinary education and experience has been integral to his vision and execution as an artist. Merging the worlds to create works uniquely his own.  Brian lives with his wife Megan and son Cian in Wilmington, Delaware.
